Redefining the Defined

The Women in Technology (WiT) Summit aims to embolden delegates who are currently in the STEM fields to make a change in the community by lending enthusiasm and inspiration from successful women leaders. WiT Summit aims to be a journey into self-discovery and empowerment. A place for participants to discover their hidden talents and spark their technical innovations. It will be an experience like no other, combining the best of IEEE and the Industry network, with some amazing learning and truly fun events that will make the most memorable events so far.

To make an energetic group of Women and Men, utilizing their assorted gifts to improve for the advantage of humankind.

The tracks are as follows:

● Computing: Workshops, talks and engaging sessions to bring forth budding computing enthusiasts.:

● Electronics and Automation: Workshops, talks and engaging sessions to embolden the ones who wish to change the world using knowledge of electronics.

● Entrepreneurship: Skills to help women advance in their careers, Skills to elevate the actions to inspire others, communicate and effective leading, skills around startups, business models, venture funding, finance or leadership communication.

FAQ

Engineering students and young professionals across the nation who are deeply passionate about the technological advancements occuring in the industry and interested in tracks such as Computing, Robotics and Entrepreneurship. It will be a life changing experience for passionate volunteers and future leaders from various sections and streams to network with each other and grow with IEEE.

WiTS also welcomes young professionals from across the technology industry who advocate for a diverse work environment wherein each individual receives the same opportunities, and who actively wish to participate in the dialog and action necessary to shift the balance.

The Women in Technology Summit envisions to empower delegates to accomplish their dreams and reach for the stars. The summit provides a platform to enable avid interaction amongst invigorating personalities, enthusiastic volunteers, dynamic speakers and future leaders in diverse career paths.

The theme for WiTS '18 is 'Redefining the Defined'.

This Summit aims at instilling the spirit of empowerment alongside encouraging the exploration of new ideas from the present technology by redefining it. Aside from inventing a new technology, developing an existing technology into a new innovation is the essence of the Summit made plausible with the aid of dynamic speakers.

Although WiTS primarily focuses on the technical and scientific segments of the industry, having a technical background is not a necessity to participate in WiTS. There are no prerequisites to attend or participate in any event under WiTS. IEEE membership is also not a necessity for attending this event.

Yes. Your registration fee is inclusive of the registration kit, shared accommodation from 21st December 8:00 AM to 23rd December 8:00 PM and meals (2 Breakfast, 2 Lunch & 2 Dinner).

IEEE Members and IEEE Computer Society Members enjoy discounts. Please refer to the Registration Fee section for more details.

The accommodation will be provided from December 21 (8 AM) to December 23 (8 PM). Stay on 23rd December night will be provided for delegates who have opted for the Sightseeing Tour on Day-4.

No, after Phase 2 of the registrations, the tickets cannot be canceled or refunded.

The track choices provided to the delegates are Computing, Electronics and Automation and Entrepreneurship. The tracks will be chosen based upon the selection priority of the delegate in the registration form and the availability of seats.

The Optional Cultural Tour provided on Day-4 of the Congress takes you on a journey to Pilikula Nisargadhama, the home to a Science Centre, Zoo, Park, Boating and an amusement park too. The tour also includes a visit to a scenic fort along the beach, Sultan Battery.

Since the Logistics arrangements must be made prior to the event, the fees for the Optional Tour cannot be made later on.
