What Is The Lazarus Missions?

The Lazarus Missions is IEEE NITK CompSoc's flagship Machine Learning event. From March 20th, 6 PM to March 24th, 6 PM 2026, for 96 uninterrupted hours, undergraduate students across the country will gather to build, test, and challenge machine learning systems in the post-apocalyptic setting, with a prize pool of ₹25,000+.

Tracks

Participants will compete across tracks covering:

  • Classic Machine Learning
  • Natural Language Processing
  • Computer Vision
  • Reinforcement Learning
  • Knowledge Graphs
  • And more...

Who Can Participate

  • Open to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-year undergraduate students from all colleges.
  • Teams may consist of 1 to 3 members.
  • Inter-college and inter-specialisation teams are allowed.
  • Cross-year teaming is NOT allowed.

Format & Scoring

  • The event runs continuously for 96 hours.
  • Performance will be evaluated based on total points accumulated across all tracks.
  • Year-Wise Prizes: Top 3 teams will be chosen from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years individually.
